How is luxury vinyl flooring constructed?

Thursday, November 4, 2021 3:26 PM

If you're interested in luxury vinyl tile and plank for your home, you are probably drawn by the fantastic visuals and benefits available in the product line. First, we'll focus on how these floors are constructed, so read along with us to find out more about that.

Your best luxury vinyl plank and tile is here

The construction of your luxury vinyl plank and tile is significant and can create an impressive quality that will serve you for years to come. And its construction has a lot to do with that.

The first part of the flooring is the wear layer, cut into sheets, followed by the image layer's cutting. The next step is heating and pressing the vinyl powder, which will become the core/backing component.

Once these are all formed and cut, they are stacked together and heat pressed, turning them into legitimate luxury vinyl sheets. The final step is a polyurethane coating that helps protect the materials right before they are cleaned, cooled, and left to dry.
