Why should I consider luxury vinyl flooring?
Luxury vinyl is an enhanced vinyl material that can be deeply embossed to create a synthetic flooring closely resembling flooring made of natural materials. Luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile complement traditional sheet vinyl products in the marketplace. LVP looks like hardwood planks, while LVT looks like stone and ceramic tile as well as wood flooring. You can find a large selection of LVP and LVT at Carpet Corner in Kansas City, Missouri.
WPC and SPC cores
Luxury vinyl flooring is a homeowner's favorite, in part because there are so many waterproof brands from which to choose. If the four-layer planks and tiles have a wood-plastic composite or a stone plastic composite core, they are waterproof. WPC and SPC flooring is not damaged even if it is wet for long periods. Many brands are pet-friendly, too. For example, Mohawk's SolidTech is a Made in the USA flooring backed by an All Pet warranty.
Convenient installation
Nails or mortar are required when installing natural materials. In contrast, most LVP interlocks so installers can construct a floating floor, which needs no attachment to the subfloor. Thus, planks can be installed on top of cement and most existing hard surface floors. LVT brands are available in floating floor and glue-down designs. Semi-permanent loose lay LVP and LVT butts together. This type of flooring uses friction to stay in place.
